Randall’s Island in New York City is a popular location for some of New York’s premiere music festivals. The Governors Ball Music Festival, launched in 2011, takes place on Randall’s Island and draws a diverse crowd with the help of a wide range of musical genres and acts featured at the festival. Music fans can get a bit of everything at Governors Ball, which hosts artists in the rock, electronic, hip hop, indie, Americana, pop, and folk genres. Governors Ball sits at the top of many festival goers “must-see” festival lists, and Mountain Productions proudly provides staging to the eclectic event.

Every time when we return, we bring our best to support the variety of production requirements from the long list of performers at Governors Ball. Besides the Mountain Truss HD System for the main stage, our exclusive onstage “floating” VIP barges are built into the stage, allowing special guests the best seats in the house. Mountain’s crews build spot/delay towers, a front of house mix position, a handful of VIP and ADA platforms, and camera risers. As a side stage for Governor’s Ball, we setup the SAM-550 mobile stage complete with covered wings and loading ramp and dock.
