Rutgers University is the largest higher education institution in New Jersey, and is nationally renowned for its collegiate programs. Rutgers is the eighth-oldest college in the United States and has been officially running since 1766. In present day, the college is known for its quality of education as well as its Big Ten athletic participation.

Mountain Productions has staged several of Rutgers’ commencement ceremonies in the past years which require larger than life production. In 2016, Rutgers welcomed President Barack Obama as the honorary graduation speaker, and Mountain is proud to have built the main stage for the ceremony. Mountain’s truss tower main stage featured large scaffold wings that supported custom softgoods and video screens, with two supplementary side stages were constructed, flanking the main stage. Mountain provided the delay towers, groundcover, and various press platforms and risers throughout the stadium.
